Ziggy Machala, A Rising Female Vocalist; Medicine Vibes Vol.1

As a South West Nigerian indigene through and through, Ziggy Machala is a sensational singer that describes her music as Afro-Soul. Also known as Adejuwon Beatrice, the singer started liking music at a young age and soon made it a career.

Ziggy Machala adds her unique flair to groovy beats, catchy melodies, and relatable lyrics to make music that she hopes will build her a large family of loyal fans soon. The Nigerian singer has garnered over 50,000 followers on Audiomack. She also has over a million total streams from her first single, Lately. Stick around for an in-depth track-by-track review of her latest EP, Medicine Vibes.

Medicine Vibes by Ziggy Machala

The EP starts with As I Am, a catchy, short burst of energy that sets the mood for the rest of the EP, preparing the listener for what’s to come. This song employs minimal instrumentals and showcases Ziggy Machala as a force to reckon with, who literally… “fears no man.”

After that, the young singer takes us on a journey with Ginja, where she features a male artist, Chuchu Cash. The two blend seamlessly on this track, going back and forth and using their vocals to portray undeniable chemistry. This is also a love song with a catchy beat and an abrupt end that will make you want to play it again.

The next song on Medicine Vibes is Medicine, which feels warm and inviting right from the jump. It does well to portray the name of the album; Vibes. Ziggy Machala uses an infectious melody to make you vibe to her music, just like she intends it to.

Let Em Know is a more laid-back tune, with a short monologue in the beginning, endearing listeners to know who they are. The song uses short staccato bursts to deliver meaningful lyrics in just over three minutes. Looking to fill empty spaces with meaningful ambient music? This song would be a good fit.

The next song on this six-track EP is Panam. It is another catchy song that slowly draws the listener to an incredible listening climax. It is also steady-paced and groovy, with a good number of Afrobeats infusions embedded in it. Again, Ziggy Machala lets the listener enjoy the beats while she uses her vocals as a lovely backdrop.

Finally, the EP ends with Pray, a more soulful song that endears listeners to a more somber and reflective mood. In this song, Ziggy Machala attributes most of her blessings to the prayers her loved ones say on her behalf while clearly stating her desire to succeed despite all odds. It is a relatable song that listeners will have no trouble enjoying.

And that’s a wrap for Medicine Vibes by Ziggy Machala. With groovy melodies and relatable lyrics, the young singer delivered on her promise to make good music that people can relate to.
