There is no doubt how exceptional the impact of the classes has been on the students so far. This module seeks to educate on the various workings of the industries present in music. To begin with, The first 2 classes in this module examine different kinds of copyrights, the jobs of publishers, the importance of having wills, and the assets involved. Also, there is an extensive discussion on the roles of record labels, and A&Rs in the music industry. It only gets more interesting from here.
Below is some feedback from the students on Module 2 so far.
A&Rs are critical to labels. They're a core part of the label structure. Their work goes beyond just having a good ear for music and being able to identify new talents. They're also part of big financial decisions in the label. #LearnfromMBA22 #MBAForAfrica22
