Soot Africa’s Top New Picks

For the love of everything good and exciting, Soot Africa has brought yet another batch of top new song picks just for you! As usual, we’ve filtered through the loads of new African songs just released over the past week and picked our favorites. Welcome to yet another exclusive edition of Soot Africa’s top new picks.

Ndi Ike- Falz, Flavour, Odomodublvck

As Falz said when he released the teaser to this banger… There’s certainly no way you can listen to this song for even five seconds and remain sitting. Ndi Ike is a fresh new sound from three of my favorites.

Every single part of the song is bursting with life and culture. It’s Afro Hip-hop at its finest. Flavor, Odumodublvck, and Falz have taken Afrobeats up another notch. Additionally, I know we’ll be hearing this song for a long time. Hence, I couldn’t resist making it the first song to make it Soot Africa’s top new picks for the week.

Gaza- Olamide

From his newly released album Unruly, this next song is straight fire. If you’re like me, a big Olamide fan, you’ll agree that his sound has remained unchanged yet refined with every new release.

Gaza does not deviate from this premise. As the next song on Soot Africa’s top new picks, it employs fast-paced beats and a rising and falling crescendo to take us on a pleasing and rather interesting journey. I think you’ll enjoy this song as much as I did. Hence, my advice; if you did, just go ahead and listen to the whole Unruly album.

Unavailable remix – Major Lazer X Davido X Musa keys

Yes, we got a remix of Davido’s hit song Unavailable. Unsurprisingly, this song has taken over the world, and we’re here for it. This lovely remix, however, takes a slight deviation from the original rendition.

Major Lazer swoops in with exotic EDM infusions that bring a new dynamic to this song. If you liked the original song, trust me when I say you’ll also have no trouble loving this. Picking this as one of Soot Africa’s top new picks was a no-brainer.

Operation sweep – Falz

For the second time this week, Falz has made it to Soot Africa’s top new picks. On Operation Sweep, Falz brings a whole new vibe to Amapiano as we know it. Furthermore, it’s classic Falz with an exciting twist. I know you’ll love it.

Hypnotic- Lifesize Teddy

From the recently unveiled Mavin artist Lifesize Teddy, Hypnotic brings Soot Africa’s top new picks to a close. While The Guardian describes this artist as unconventional, we can’t deny that her talent is jarring. Her recently released self-named EP certainly solidifie this.

This song will deliver if you’re looking for music that leaves a lasting impression with its unexpected twists and turns. Take a look.

And that’s it for Soot Africa’s top new picks this week. While I wish I could stay longer, I do have to go back hunting for more fresh songs you should absolutely have on your playlist.

If your favorite song made it to the list, leave a comment and let us know! Once again, stay tuned to Soot Africa for all the new music updates you need.
