Holy Ghost- Omah lay
Omah Lay finally comes out of his depressive phase embracing the beauty of life and love. His new releases and appearances show an improvement in his mood and tone of conversation. He collaborates with Lekaa beat on this new single. I’m sorry but the afro depression phase is over. It’s time to dance and bask in happiness. He first premiered this song during his performance in Paris. Can’t wait to sing this out loud in a party with my hands and drink in the air.
Only God Can save me- Joeboy
Ahead of his EP that was released on 17th of November, Joeboy released this track as a lead single. He acknowledges God as his only saviour as leeches and fake friends are all around him trying to pull him down. He warns against those who try to come reap where they don’t sow. They take from you but look away when you are down. This is sadly the reality in life today. Truly only God can save one from enemies who pose as friends. He delivers quite emotionally on this track off his new EP- Body, Soul and Spirit.
Oh No- Black Sherif
Black Sherif takes a trip down memory lane, revisits his past when he was sailing on troubled waters and his ship capsized. He sings his out on this new track talking about his struggles, his choices and decisions. He faces off against naysayers and critics who do not know how rough it’s been to get to his current phase. Like Ladipoe once said, when you talk about the pain is when you realize how much it hurts. I wish him the peace he desires. Enjoy this song on our soot weekly pick if you need some motivation to go on
40 Days- Tamera ft Ckay
Tamera links up with Ckay to deliver a beautiful lovers’ anthem on 40 days off her Latest EP LIT (Lost in Translation). They both sing about a love resilient in the face of challenges and thriving against all odds; a proud love that makes the world jealous. Ckay wishes the haters good luck because he will pay no attention to their frothing in the mouth. God when? That is all I could mutter after I listened to this track.
Sweet Life- BOJ and Ajebutter ft Show Dem Camp
The iconic duo features the legendary duo on Sweet Life off Make E no cause fight 3. After 4 years, they return with a banger to serenade anticipating fans. Sweet life as the name implies is a track about sweet life, jaye jaye and enjoyment overload. The camp is already known for their faaji lifestyle, and everyone came out to display that on this track.
We hope you enjoy this edition of Soot weekly picks. More to come. Stay tuned!
