Oluwasunkami Temitayo Kareem, popularly known as Magicsticks is fast becoming a household name in the Nigerian music industry. He is no doubt exceptional in his craft as he has built a name for himself these past few years. Whenever you hear the tag “Tune into the king of sounds and blues”, that is Magicsticks. However, he is not a new guy in the music scene as many think. He did not just come out of the blues.
Magicsticks’ Career
The multi-talented music producer started his career as a DJ. He revealed that his father used to be a professional DJ and he also took the same career path before becoming a music producer.
Recently, Magicsticks has mostly been associated with Nigerian singer, Asake. You must have wondered who the mastermind behind Asake’s hit songs is, especially on his new album. This certified hit producer is responsible for that. He produced all 12 tracks on Asake’s Mr. Money With The Vibe album. The streets say this is the album of the year already because it still has the top 15 spots on the Apple Music Nigerian chart on lock. He also produced 3 out of the 4 songs on the Ololade Asake EP. The producer and artist have had quite a run together, and there is no doubt that this year is theirs.
He has also worked with several talented musicians so far. He has worked with Olamide, Davido, Focalistic, Lojay, Victony, Phyno, DJ Spinall, Zlatan, and Niniola, among many others.

Over the years, Magicsticks has proven to be a consistent hit-maker, and this year, he has even done better with his collaborations with Asake. Many may know his producer tag but may not know he is the one behind these top hits. Listed below are some of the hit songs he has produced. Nobody- DJ Neptune ft. Joeboy & Mr. Eazi
I don’t think I need to explain how this song had the continent on lockdown during the 2020 lockdown. Magicsticks made this banger that would later give Joeboy a sore throat in the long run due to its replay value and several remixes.
Terminator – Asake
This has to be my favorite song produced by Magicsticks so far. The replay value and perfectly arranged sequences make it so. His synergy with Asake is unmatched. The top-quality music video makes it even more likable.
