Mr Eazi Announces the Death of his Mother with Heartfelt Message

Nigerian star and co-founder of EmPawa Africa, Mr Eazi, recently took to Instagram to announce the tragic passing of his mother, Mrs Ifeoma Edith Ajibade.

 

The 33-year-old singer and songwriter posted a picture expressing his gratitude to his mother for her strength, discipline, and love. In the post, he said:

 

“Thank you mummy for your strength, your sacrifices, your unwavering faith. For raising us with love, discipline, and devotion to God. For teaching me confidence, entrepreneurship, forgiveness, and family,” the Nigerian singer and songwriter said.

 

“You were my greatest protector, my toughest critic, and truest fan. You were not perfect, but you were perfect to me. Your legacy lives on. Rest well Ifeoma Edith Ajibade,” he concluded.

Several big names in the industry took to Instagram to extend their condolences to the singer, including Don Jazzy, Skales, P.Priime, and ex-BB Naija star, Erica Lewedim.

In addition to the heartfelt message Mr Eazi penned down, he also posted some pictures of his late mother to commemorate her passing.

At this moment, the cause of Mr Eazi’s mother’s death is unknown.

 

Ever since his breakout in 2013, Mr Eazi has remained at the forefront of the music business in Africa. He released his debut mixtape, About to Blow in 2013 and sooner garnered a global audience for his hit song Skin Tight with Efya.

 

His second and third mixtapes, Life is Eazi Vol 1 & 2 were released in 2017 and 2018 respectively. And he finally released his much anticipated album, The Evil Genius in 2023. You can read all about it here.

 

The Nigerian singer and songwriter has won multiple awards for his incredible creativity. He won the Headies Next Rated and the Nigeria Entertainment Award in 2016. He has also been nominated for multiple other awards, including the MOBO Awards and Soundcity MVP Awards

.

 

Mr Eazi and his mother shared a close relationship, as did his fiancé, Temi Otedola.
