Music Business Academy for Africa (MBAFA) is proud to announce the release of its latest collaborative project, “Pepple Street.” It is chiefly an album that transcends borders and unites diverse musical talents from across the African continent.
The album title is inspired by the iconic life of Fela Kuti, who once called Pepple Street home. This 16-track masterpiece certainly weaves a tapestry of stories. It basically blends sounds and voices from different corners of the great continent of Africa.
The music itself is basically a fusion of traditional African rhythms and contemporary sounds, blending elements of hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats. Furthermore, each track on “Pepple Street” tells a story, from the upbeat anthems of empowerment to the introspective ballads of love and loss.
This album consist of endearing melodies, inspiring lyrics and outstanding vocal delivery by 9 artists. These articst include Kvng Vidarr, Rozzz, Dela, Wendy Kay, Diyo Matalo, Tamate, Wondy, Jenz williams, and Jordan Styls. All from Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya respectively.
“Pepple Street” was chiefly created in collaboration with the amazing minds of 383 members of the current MBA cohort. The cohort were split into 9 labels for the smooth running of operations on the business side for each
artist.
With its powerful narrative and infectious beats, “Pepple Street” will captivate listeners and leave a lasting impression.
